HARVEY'S WINTER-PIECE, IMITATED.
Titan the Great, upon a frosty day,
While rigid Boreas rul'd with lawless sway;
While gelid ice o'erspread the briny deep,
And chil'd the finny nations all to sleep;
. . . [49 lines]
He therefore bid th' unwearied coachman drive;
While with a herald's trumpet, full as loud
As breaking thunder from the sulph'rous cloud,
He spoke these words with such pathetic sound.
. . . [41 more lines]
